A short flight from Malaysia to Singapore. Same local time zone at both ends.
The city of the twin towers
Kuala Lumpur grew up around colonial tin-mining wealth into a dense, multicultural capital crowned by the Petronas Towers, with Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities each visible in its neighborhoods, food, and language. The airport sits about 50 km (30 mi) south of the city, among the farthest big-city airports from its downtown, but the KLIA Ekspres train covers that distance nonstop in under 30 minutes. It's hot and humid year-round, with no real seasons beyond a wetter monsoon stretch. Beyond the express train's route, the city's LRT and monorail cover downtown well, though greater KL sprawls far enough that a car or rideshare is often still the easiest way to cross it.

The garden city-state
Singapore is a dense, tropical city-state at the tip of the Malay Peninsula, a single island where the city and the country are the same thing. It is famously orderly and green, easy to cross on a clean and frequent metro, and built for the heat and sudden rain. The center mixes high finance, colonial remnants, and hawker food, with residential towers spread across the island. Distances are short, and the transit makes a car unnecessary.

Type less, wait less, wonder more

Airport search now understands metro codes and old city names, FlightSide loads noticeably faster, and a new Feeling lucky button chooses a flight for anyone without one in mind.
A closer look at the route, not just the seat
FlightSide now shows the two cities and key details about the flight alongside the seat recommendation: confirm you picked the right airports, read the time change off two clocks, and check the return leg.
It's all about the sun (after all)
Not all sunlight reaches the side windows. FlightSide now weighs the sun’s angle to the cabin and shows twilight along the route.
